Adam is an expert in strategy, transformation, and operational performance and one of Australia’s leading higher education consultants. He is a trusted advisor to many leading universities and has worked across all facets of university academic mission and operations.
Adam's experience includes international engagement, curriculum and portfolio design, research strategy and commercialisation, campus and precinct planning, and professional services transformation. Adam also brings a strong background in technology product development and management and launching products globally from his time in global life sciences.

Influential work

  • Developed a 10-year strategy for a $500+ million research and innovation precinct in Melbourne’s North.
  • Led a major program to co-design a new university-wide curriculum architecture with academics to achieve a more attractive, flexible and efficient education offer.
  • Developed an international growth strategy for a Victorian university to achieve a step-change in student enrolments in key growth markets.
  • Designed a new student acquisition operating model for an Australian University to improve student conversion performance and reduced delays in recruitment and admissions.
  • Developed a $50 million targeted research and commercialisation investment strategy to improve the reputation, ranking and commercial outcomes for two large STEM faculties.

Prior to Nous, Adam held a variety of senior management and consulting roles across the private and public sectors. These include senior manager, innovation and technology, in the Victorian Government; senior consultant at a global professional services outsourcing firm; strategy consultant at a boutique management consulting firm; and program manager, technical product manager and innovation engineer at a global life sciences company.

Adam holds a Bachelor of Engineering with First Class Honours (Mechatronics) from the University of Tasmania and is a University Medallist.

In his spare time...

Adam is a keen amateur cyclist, photographer, and part-time professional bass guitarist. He also enjoys taking his dog for a run in the park.
